Turn a question into something you can hold.
The Mandrin R&D Club is a free, student-led club proposed to the college — a hands-on room for students who would rather build the thing than write the assignment about it. It is not yet approved. Weekly sessions in ML Systems and Systems & Graphics, real hardware, and problems worth the effort. One form below; we read every one ourselves.
Three things we hold to.
The club is small on purpose. These are the only rules that matter before you walk in.
Curiosity over credentials
We don't screen for grades. We ask what you've built, what you've broken, and what you want to understand next. A first-year with a stubborn question beats a final-year with none.
Bring what you have
Some of you solder, some code, some write. A club that only works when everyone's a full-stack engineer isn't a club — it's a screening. There's a place for every skill on the team.
Finish something small
Every member ships one modest, real thing end to end — a sensor, a model, a rig — and writes up what worked and what didn't. The write-up matters as much as the build.
Questions before you apply? Ask on Discord — someone from the club will answer. Applying to Mandrin separately is fine too; the two are not the same thing.
